Dès l'arrivée à Shanghai, Gloria disparaît, au grand désarroi de Bob, qui remet à Wilkie la lettre de son père contenant une simple feuille blanche. En réalité, la lettre a été subtilisée par Moto qui, en coordination avec la police chinoise, est sur les traces d'un gang de trafiquants de diamants et de drogue.".
